Imajenit had an unexpected call from Graincorp towards the end of 2016 wondering if we would be interested in photographing the harvest around our region. Now lets just say you can take the girl out of the bush but you can never take the bush out of the girl. We literally jumped at the opportunity.

2016 had produced a bumper harvest for most of the Central, Western and North Western regions of NSW.
The photoshoot days were hot and dusty and very unglamorous but we totally loved every moment and met some amazing regional people along the way. We started at Gilgandra where the wheat was coming off the trucks and unloaded to the massive big silos.  To grasp a better viewpoint of the operation we climbed up the highest silo and photographed from above it all, it was tremendous. We then travelled to Gulargambone and Coonamble, making an impromptu visit to the Nalders property where they had nearly finished stripping their wheat. We stood in the stubble and photographed the skills of the header drivers and their trusty bin operators.

The following week we ventured in a more westerly direction, photographing Trangie, Old Bundemar Station, where we learnt what a BIG paddock really was. Then onto Nevertire, Tottenham, Trundle and one more property where we photographed headers working at night.

We finally arrived home at around 12.30am, very tired but feeling accomplished with the many and varied photographs we'd taken over the two days for Graincorp.

Graincorp intends to use the images in their marketing and promotional campaigns throughout 2017.
